" Rifletteremo sulle cadute. Le prime tappe saranno consacrate alla pianura anche in futuro, ma gli incidenti dovranno essere prevenuti. E valuteremo se ridurre il campo dei partecipanti,, sollecitando nel contempo i dirigenti dell’UCI a regolamentare le bici in modo che non presentino attrezzi pericolosi. Sarò più preciso quando, a fine ottobre, verrà presentato il Tour ‘98, che partirà da Dublino, in Irlanda."
